Glistening off the frost
Tossing oblong shadows

A dirge for September
Beneath the yawning October sky
November has rendered these mountains
pale and lifeless
Dead monoliths looming over the
icy landscape
the snow swallows sound then defecates silence
as it collects
out side of our dwellings
Where life has become frozen

While the rest of the world burns
Here now I stand
Upon shaken ground
Under the Bloodmoon
with my arms thrown wide open
Embracing the solstice sky
Where I will catch the stars that fall
And challenge the opening of the scroll
In the dead December night
Black and cold
I have watched the stars fall
And the Bloodmoon has drained pale
I will return to my home
Where I will sleep
Tomorrow awake
Trapped in this world
In this time
Where life
has become frozen
While the rest of the world burns
